SORATOBU AKAI WAINTARU - A DIARY OF A LITTLE AVIATOR


While flight technology was still under development, the Blue Sky Union, also known as "The Guild" was established to bring people order in the sky and keep it safe. Soratobu Akai Waintaru, literally translated as Flying Red Wine Barrel, is a vertically scrolling shooter developed and released by 橙汁. Set ten years after The Blue Sky Union has been formed, the player assumes the role of Maaru, one of the youngest member of The Guild. Flying Red Wine Barrel offers colorful graphics similar to SNES era and innovative scoring mechanics. The player controls Red Barrel triplane and must destroy enemy aircrafts using both guns and rockets mounted on the aircraft. The objective of the game is shooting down enemies and meanwhile collecting coins. To finish the game player have to complete it in one playthrough and every stage cleared will become available in practice mode. Soratobu Akai Waintaru - A Diary of Little Aviator was released at Comiket 73, on December 31, 2007.
