In the year 2180, Justice - the most powerful and diabolical Gear ever to have been encountered by humans- was defeated in the international fighting tournament. The remaining Gears now leaderless, but Testament planned to resurrect Gear leader Justice. However, all Gears were hunted down and annihilated in a tournament, and humankind was finally free from the catastrophic menace brought by the Gears. Less than a year after the incident, a new Gear commander named Dizzy is discovered. Terrified by the possible emergence of a second war, another Holy Knights Tournament begins and whosoever succeeds in captures and kills Dizzy will receive 500,000 World Dollars. Guilty Gear X is a fighting game developed by Arc System Works and published by Sammy Studios. Guilty Gear X is the second installment of the series, it is notable for its high-res sprites and featuring heavy rock soundtracks. The fight system has a tension gauge to launch Overdrive Attacks, or when the gauge is full, allows the player to launch instant kill to defeat opponent regardless health. Guilty Gear X also introduces several new characters, but unlike it's predecessor, the game did not contain endings.
