Refrain - Prism Memories is the second shooting game developed by RebRank and considered as the spiritual successor of Samidare (2005). Takes place in 30th century, full-scale war breaks out between various nations and forcing humanity flee to underground after earth surface shattered. Set in the same realm as Samidare, Refrain's main story follows the missions of three divers; Miria, Tee and Mews as they fly through five centrals. The basic gameplay involves "Motion Emotion Feeling Affect Attack" (M.E.F.A 2), the four different special attacks which can be charged up to six levels, and released at any time to clearing bullets and create scores. M.E.F.A 2 is linked to "Concept Reactor", a special bar to cancel out all the bullets except for laser. Player's performance and rank rated by Prism Count which it increases when player destroying enemies, hitting stunned enemies, converting bullets with the Concept Reactor, and when player collecting items. Refrain - Prism Memories was released at Comiket 80, on August 13, 2011.
