RECETTEAR - AN ITEM SHOP'S TALE


Recettear - An Item Shop's Tale (Japanese: Recettear: Aitemu-ya-san no Hajimekata) follows the story of Recette Lemongrass, as she repays her father's debts by running an item shop. The gameplay is divided into two major style: shop simulation and action RPG. The game has four turns per day during which player can open for business, visit the town, or hire someone to explore dungeons for items. Recette need to pay the loans in full or else suffer the consequences of becoming homeless. At first, the deadline payment is small but it will multiplied to outstanding amount each week. Experience earned for successfully selling an item unlocks more options, like the ability to suggest items to customers, buy items directly from patrons, combine items, and change shop aesthetics. Recettear has quite a longevity, and by completing the game new modes can be unlocked. The original Japanese version was released on 2007 and followed by the English version on 2010.
